09/29/2020 - 12:58 - New dispositions and containment measures concerning the spread of COVID-19 virus, for those entering from some regions of France

The Presidency of the Region communicates the new dispositions, currently in force, for people who intend to enter Italy and in the previous fourteen days stayed or passed through the French regions Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, Corse, Hauts-de-France, Île-de-France, Nouvelle Aquitaine, Occitanie, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, following the Ordinance of the Health Department, dated 21st September 2020.

In order to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus, it is compulsory to communicate your entry into the Italian territory; if your final destination is the Aosta Valley, you have to mail your notice to the Prevention Department of the Local Health Authority to the address igiene.pubblica@ausl.vda.it enclosing the Self-declaration necessary to enter Italy from abroad, as well as a Certificate attesting you have been tested through a molecular or antigen swab in the 72 hours before the entry into the Italian territory and that the swab is negative.

If you have not the Certificate, when received your mail, the Prevention Department of the Local Health Authority, will send your data to the 118 operators for the nasopharyngeal swab.

The following subjects are exempt from the above-mentioned obligations:

ü anyone (regardless of the nationality) entering Italy for a period not exceeding 120 hours for proven work needs, as well as for health or absolute urgency needs. It is compulsory, at the expiry of this term, to leave immediately the national territory, or if not possible, to start the surveillance and fiduciary isolation;

ü anyone (regardless of the nationality) who passes, by a private vehicle, through the Italian territory for a period not exceeding 36 hours, with the obligation, at the expiry of this term, to leave immediately the national territory, or if not possible, to observe the surveillance and fiduciary isolation period;

ü healthcare personnel entering Italy to exercise health professional qualifications, even though temporarily, including the temporary provision in accordance to the art. 13 of the Italian Legislative Decree of 17th March 2020, no. 18;

ü cross-borders workers entering and leaving the national territory for proven work needs and for the consequent return to their place of residence or stay;

ü personnel of companies with registered or secondary offices in Italy returning home for proven work needs and after a stay abroad of no more than 120 hours;

ü officials and agents, however they may be called, of the European Union or of international organisations, diplomatic agents, administrative and technical staff of diplomatic missions, consular officers and officials, military personnel and State police personnel in the performance of their duties;

ü pupils and students who attend a course of study in a country other than the country of residence or the country of default, to which they return every day or at least once a week;

The obligation to be tested through a swab, according to the Ministerial Order issued on the 12th August, is valid, with the exceptions already provided, for people coming back from the following countries, belonging to the European Union: Croatia, Greece, Malta and Spain.
